It's a winter wonderland here is Western PA. We are just getting out today after the huge storm that just swept the North East. Isn't it beautiful? I love it here in the Laurel Highlands it is so peaceful and white. With all the snow it is very quiet here today. We got alot of ice and it is glistening in the tree branches The sun is just starting to peek through. Now if I didn't have to drive anywhere it would be perfect.

BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD! Wow, we finally have some sunshine in Western PA. It has rained for the past 11 days consecutively UGH! Anyway here is a picture I took from my front porch today. As you can see I live in the "boonies" as we mountain hicks refer to it. There is nothing around for miles but at least I have a great view, LOL! I am trying to think of some new items for fall/winter to add to my website Kraft Kottage. Craft season will be upon us before we know it!
But who can think of fall/winter when it is so BEAUTIFUL outside? This evening I am going to my Favorite Yarn Store In Ligionier. LOOK OUT will have to look for new place to hide more yarn stash. Hey, gotta feed my addiction! I haven't been there in over a week HE HE! I need to find some yarn to make the "Sweet Pea Shawl" I just purchased last night from Nexstitch. I want to try the other shawl pattern the one with the blocks (can't remember the name) But it looks more difficult so I thought I'd try the "Sweet Pea Shawl" first. The trick is going to be finding some fabulous yarn that doesn't break the bank! Well Ciao for now! Thanks for visiting!

Ok this is one of my favorites! Here is the second Felted Purse I made I finished this a few months ago and again no pattern. I used a j hook and hdc for the entire purse I used Lamb's Pride worsted wool/mohair blend yarn in a dark green Olive color & Plum. Can't remember the name and Kuryeon 100% wool yarn for the variegated center part(this was a leftover from another project and I didn't save the tag).
I just worked on both sides of the chain in continuous rounds & added a simple handle, the top ruffle was done but simply putting 3 hdc in each stich around. The rose is just ch 33, 2 dc in 3rd ch from hook, then 3 dc in each ch across to end. leave a long tail of yarn finish off roll into shape of rose felt then stitch in place. I can't remember how I made the leaves but there are lots of patterns on the net for leaves. I did sew on some glass beads in the center of the rose and on the leaves then did a backstitch with the Olive yarn for the viney stuff. I felted this bag 3 times in my washer it was HUGE before I felted it now it measures 18 in w x 12 in high, and is fairly stiff. This bag is really sturdy and doesn't require a lining because it is felted.
YEAHHHHHHHHH! It worked now I can post some more purses I have made when I get time UGH! Thanks for visiting! Ciao~

Please Bear with me as I am totally new at this! I love blogs I read alot of crochet blogs and love the fact that since you really can't meet all the wonderful people you run across on the net you get to know them better from there blogs. I am completely addicted to crafting and Crochet is number one on my list. It really helps me relax and find my center again when I am feeling overwhelmed. I also love to crochet because I love unique handbags and now I can make my own, Just the way I want them in the colors I like etc. I just joined the C'ville Crochet Forum and want to post some pictures of a few felted purses I finished! The purse seen here above on the right is one I did for my sister. (I had to make up the pattern because I couldn't find one I liked) It was my first felted purse! I actually didn't like it all that much but she loved it! Here goes hope my first attempt! Let me know what you think of the purse! Thanks for stopping by~
